| Church member presents free concerts using inverter power! I am a member of a small Bible church in Southwest Lower Michigan. Our congregation greatly enjoys sharing our fellowship times with our neighbors. One of the ways we invite people to our church is by presenting free concerts. On an annual basis I organize, host, stage, advertise and act as the audio engineer for 19 to 22 concerts, both indoor and outdoor events that feature a wide variety of faith based independent Christian artists from around the country.
One of the ways I have chosen to advertise our concerts is through participating in a neighboring community's annual festival street parade. In essence I produce a concert on a rolling stage that usually features a 4 piece band featuring drums, bass guitar, electric guitar, keyboards and vocals. Not only is there the band itself to power, there is also the P.A. system that puts out their sound. To power all that equipment I chose the Aims 1250 Watt Power Inverter from Inverters R Us. Connected to the battery of our tow vehicle the Aims 1250 Watt Power Inverter provides ample power to three instrument amplifiers, a 6 channel microphone mixer for a drum kit, a 12 channel vocal and instrument mixer, 4 wireless microphone receivers and a 500 watt stereo power amplifier pushing 2 main speakers and 3 stage monitor speakers. In 3 of the past 5 years the Newberg Norton Bible Church parade float has won awards from the Three Rivers Chamber of Commerce for "Best Theme Presentation", "Best Musical Presentation", and most recently "Most Entertaining". I could not have pulled it off without the Aims 1250 Watt Power Inverter.
Here's something more I could not have pulled off without the Aims 1250 Watt Power Inverter. Our first outdoor summer concert for 2005 met with inclement weather. An hour before the concert, rain moved into the area accompanied by lightning. That in itself is not a major issue; I have a contingency plan in place with outdoor events and always have the church sanctuary ready for use. Our guest for that evening is a very talented pianist who would be performing solo with a digital electric piano and a surprise stage effect. He arrives during the heaviest portion of the rainfall. We manage to get all his stage equipment set up and just complete the sound check when all goes dark! A power failure hits our area just as our audience starts arriving for the concert. In our rural area you can count on power failures of this nature to last multiple hours, and knowing that, I have a secondary contingency plan in place...I always carry my Aims 1250 Watt Power Inverter in my car! Our guest that evening was utterly amazed when I ran two 100 ft. extension cords from my car to the church sound system and to the sanctuary stage. The piano concert went on as planned, even with the surprise stage effect - a 1000-watt fog machine producing 5000 cubic feet of aerial fog, a really neat effect when the rest of the church sanctuary is bathed candlelight.
