Inverter makes living in "Hurricane Alley" a little easier!

Dear Inverters R Us,

We live in Central Florida and are accustomed to storms and power outages. But when hurricanes come through power can be out for days or even weeks. When hurricane Charley hit power was out for several days and that meant no air conditioning in the Florida heat, no fans, and no power to the refrigerator or the stove or the microwave or the toaster or the coffeemaker. In other words, we were right back in the Stone Age.

It also meant no TV, and no Internet so the only news we could get was from a battery powered radio and the newspaper.

Our first thought after Charley was to get a generator, but there had already been a run on them and there were none left. I didn’t like the idea of a generator anyway since they are expensive, bulky and noisy and you have to keep refilling them with gas. So I thought there must be a better way. Then I heard about power inverters and I said this is perfect for us. We already have an engine in the car and we can use it to make electricity. The car runs quite so we can sleep and when it needs more fuel, you just drive it down to the gas station.

Later when I heard that hurricane Francis was coming our way, I got on the internet and ordered a 1250 watt inverter from Inverters R Us and it arrived just in time. We got slammed and the power was out for days, but we had power for cooking, fans, the TV and the Internet from our inverter and most importantly we were able to save all our food in the refrigerator. Relatively speaking, we were living like kings in the middle of a disaster! Then a couple of weeks later we got slammed again by hurricane Jeanne and the power was out again for almost a week but our inverter kept us going once again. We love it and I think every one who lives here in “hurricane alley” should own one, it’s not a luxury, it’s a necessity!

Regards,
Sean Mxxxxx
