The inverter is a life saver for our family. During the past year I built a log cabin on a secluded 17 ac. woodlot that we own in a neighboring county. The location is such that electric service is definitely not an option due to the distance we are from the electric grid.
When I planned this project I did research on the inverters for use during the time when we didn't want to listen to a generator running, especially during the evening and nights. I presently use the 1250 watt inverter to handle this task. Our main use of the inverter is to operate a TV and VCR to view movies and shows that my wife prerecords before we go to the cabin for the weekend. It is also used for minimal lighting of the cabin areas that are not served by propane lighting that we have.
We presently use one heavy duty deep cycle battery which I keep conditioned with a solar charger during the non use hours. I would like to add more battery capacity soon, so we can use the quiet power system for longer periods of time. Our use of the inverter is mainly for pleasure and we don't know how we could ever be without one.
